MARC DORCEL bets on content and ever more enhances its production

The European leader of adult entertainment strategically strengthens its production department and develops its Content activities.

 MARC DORCEL, European leader in adult entertainment, strengthens its Production department and appoints Hervé Bodilis as Head of the company’s artistic & production direction.

Well-known as one of the best European directors of the adult industry, awarded by more than 30 international prizes (Xbiz Awards USA, AVN Las Vegas, Venus Berlin, erotic cinema Barcelone…), Hervé Bodilis has been entrusted to develop MARC DORCEL’s Production department so as to support the group’s strategy, which ambition is to offer even more high quality contents as well as an ever more asserted and modern style, in the respect of its fundamental values: lust and sophistication!

MARC DORCEL has always been a pioneer and is considered the first European adult producer. Thus, at a time of global dematerialization, delinearisation, multiplication of broadcasting channels and piracy, the company has decided to enhance its efforts in production, whether in terms of volume, quality, investment and diversity. Its production goes from 24 to 36 features per year, and its overall investment in content will increase by +30% to reach 5.5 million Euros in 2014.

Also, as the biggest European VOD content aggregator (55 exclusive studios worldwide) and broadcaster of +600 films per year on its TV channels, MARC DORCEL cannot help but see the global production decrease due to the crisis the industry is going through. The company therefore wishes to itself overcome this phenomenon.

“MARC DORCEL has always swum against the flow”, says Gregory Dorcel, CEO. “We bet on content and on quality when the market massively reduces its investments and when many producers give up in front of the methodical pillaging of their catalogues by tubes and other pirate websites. We believe that the future resides in the unique and ever more sophisticated experience we offer our audience, and that the keys of tomorrow’s industry are brands and contents.”

The arrival of Hervé Bodilis at the head of MARC DORCEL’s production testifies a real desire to adopt an ever more asserted artistic position. Very attentive to the audience’s demands, the director brings his sense of aesthetics and eroticism and thus develops a differencing editorial line by surrounding himself with the world’s best talents (Kendo –England, Max Candy – Canada, Michael Ninn – USA, Manuel Ferrara…).

In this way, MARC DORCEL deploys new projects focused on production, as for example the launch of the recent DORCEL CLUB, which offers its members exclusive live videos from MARC DORCEL’s shooting sets, premieres, making of…, and develops new mobile platforms allowing to freely discover the universe of MARC DORCEL’s productions.
